		<description>I can't see why people that come here would necessarily consider themselves Canadian when their values have been shaped somewhere else. It seems reasonable that they might want to come here to partake in opportunities that they couldn't have back home, but retain their original cultural identity because such is the official promise that Canada makes to all immigrants. Of course, there are many that believe that we should not make that promise at all, but that's another discussion.</description>
